Spicy jerk meal kit

Our spicy jerk meal kit is a great all-round favourite. Tasty and filling, it’s perfect for a night in or a quick lunch on the go. Our authentic recipe combines easy cook long grain rice with red kidney beans, coconut milk and spices, with a dried jerk seasoning mix and a scotch bonnet jerk paste.

1 x Rice & Peas microwave pouch
1 x Jerk Seasoning Mix sachet
1 x Jerk Paste sachet

Just add

500g chicken fillets, diced

500g bone-in chicken pieces

Make your Spicy Jerk meal vegan-friendly by using freshly diced vegetables or soy pieces instead of chicken.
Cooking instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces with the contents of the Jerk Seasoning Mix pouch. Make sure that all the chicken is well coated with the jerk seasoning. Leave to marinate for 2-3 minutes.

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan. Cook chicken over a medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes. Continue to cook for a further 5 minutes.

Add the Jerk Paste into the pan, making sure that the chicken pieces are well coated. Continue to cook on a medium heat for a further 10 minutes until thoroughly cooked and golden.

Microwave the Rice & Peas pouch for: 750w for 2 minutes / 850w for 1.5 minutes. Remove and tear open to allow steam to escape. Leave for 1 minute.

Empty the Rice & Peas pouch onto a plate and fluff up with a fork before serving with your jerk seasoned chicken pieces.
