Crunchy jerk wrap kit

A firm family favourite, our crunchy jerk wrap kit is perfect for a night in or a get together lunch. Our recipe combines soft flour wraps with a crunchy jerk-seasoned breadcrumb coating and a delicious jerk bbq sauce.

8 x Soft Flour Wraps
1 x Crunchy Jerk Coating sachet
1 x Jerk BBQ Sauce sachet

Just add

500g chicken breast mini-fillets

1 red pepper, sliced

1 green pepper, sliced

1 red onion, sliced

2 eggs, beaten

Go vegan!
Make your Crunchy Jerk Wraps vegan by replacing chicken with sliced vegetables and replacing the beaten eggs with a mixture of 2 tbsps of cornflour and 6 tbsps of warm water.
Cooking instructions

Pour out the Crunchy Jerk Coating sachet onto a flat plate and pour 2 beaten eggs onto another. Dip the chicken into the egg and then into the Crunchy Jerk until each piece is fully coated.

Spread your coated chicken pieces out onto a lightly oiled baking tray and cook in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally until they are golden brown and fully cooked through.

Add 1 tablespoon of oil to a medium sized pan. Cook the peppers and onion for 5 minutes over a medium-high heat until softened.

Heat the wraps:

In the microwave: Place wraps in microwave and heat for 30 seconds on full power (800 watts).
In the pan: Heat a large pan and toast each wrap for 5-10 seconds on each side.

Allow wraps to cool slightly before handling.

Place a wrap flat down on a plate. Fill with the cooked crunchy jerk chicken and vegetable pieces down the centre. Finish off with a drizzle of Jerk BBQ Sauce, roll up and serve.
